Bliss Bibliographic Classification - Class J : Education / D. J. Foskett and Joy Foskett
The files for Class J are in pdf format, created from the
source files from which the printed edition of this schedule
was produced. The current latest version of the software was
used to generate the output on this site, so there are some
slight differences from the printed version. These are mainly
in formatting rather than in content, though a few changes to
notation were needed where errors in the schedules were
detected.
The schedules may be updated from time to time to incorporate
additions and corrections. There are no hypertext linkages
within or between the files; the "find" function in pdf
reading software such as Acrobat Reader can be used to find
specific words, phrases or classmarks, if allowance is made
for the fact that some parts of classmarks are not repeated
for every occurrence in the schedule.

Using the index: an
introductory note on its structure and compilation. The
index here has been newly compiled from the schedule, using
the current software and without editorial intervention. It
therefore contains some inappropriate entries, and differs
from the index in the published volume. This note includes
examples from class W, but the same principles apply.
